Business Alarm Monitoring for Offices, Shops and Churches
When your business is closed, the alarm is the only one there. Monitoring is what makes that alarm worth having. When something trips at 2 in the morning, a staffed monitoring center gets the signal, follows the plan we set up with you, and calls you and, when needed, the police.
We install and monitor alarm systems for offices, shops, churches and other businesses across Forest Park and Chicago's western suburbs. Local since 2009, installing and monitoring security systems since 2019. Illinois Private Alarm Contractor 124.002139. Our office is right here in Forest Park.

How business alarm monitoring works
The short version: a sensor notices something, it tells the panel, and the panel sends a signal out through a communicator to a monitoring center that's staffed 24/7. The people there follow the call list and instructions we set up with you. If they can't confirm it's a false alarm, they send help.
The part most people never think about is that communicator. If the signal can't get out, nobody knows. That's why we like a dual-path communicator, one that can send over your network and over cellular. If the internet is down or a line is cut, the other path is still there. When I set up security, that's what I want to see.
If you want the step-by-step, I wrote it up in How Alarm Monitoring Works.
What a business system can watch
Every building is different, so we walk it with you first. A typical business setup covers:
- Doors and windows, including back doors and loading or service doors
- Motion in hallways, offices and stock rooms
- Glass break for storefront glass
- Water and temperature where it matters, like a basement, a server closet or a cooler
- Panic buttons at a front counter, if your staff wants them
Your business on your phone
Most of our security systems include app control, so you can arm, disarm and check on the property from your phone, and get notified when something happens. Each employee can have their own code, and you can see when the building was opened and closed for the day. The app is for you. The monitoring center is there for the times you can't answer.
What monitoring looks like when it counts
One of our church customers has three connected buildings. During a break-in, the monitoring center called the police and the church staff, the staff were able to get there while it was happening, and the police made an arrest at the scene. That's what monitoring is for.
One local company for security and the rest of the building
A lot of businesses end up with one company for the alarm, another for the doors, someone else for the network and a fourth for the music in the lobby. We do all of it, so there's one number to call.
- Access control for suites, offices and shared doors, planned with the alarm. See business access control.
- Networking, including in-ceiling Wi-Fi access points and ongoing network maintenance, so the systems that depend on the internet stay up.
- Background music and AV for lobbies, dining rooms and conference rooms. We're also an authorized Control4 dealer for lighting and AV control.
- Cameras as an add-on at the doors or the register, when you want to see what's going on.
Close by when you need us
Our office is in Forest Park. For businesses in the western suburbs, that means the owner of the company is close by, not a national call center. When a code needs changing, a sensor needs a look or you're adding a room, you're talking to us.
Alarm and security work is handled by our licensed company, Acoustical Vision Security LTD, Illinois Private Alarm Contractor 124.002139.
Already have an alarm at your business?
You may not need to start over. Depending on the panel and the equipment, some of it can stay and sometimes all it takes is a new communicator. We look at what's there and tell you what can be monitored, reused or upgraded.
Business alarm monitoring questions
What is commercial alarm monitoring?
It means your business alarm sends its signals to a monitoring center that's staffed around the clock. When an alarm comes in, they follow the plan you set up, like calling you first, and contact the police when needed.
Can my existing business alarm be monitored?
Often, depending on the panel and the equipment. We look at the system with you and tell you what can be monitored, reused or upgraded.
What happens if an employee sets off the alarm by accident?
They disarm the system, and the monitoring center calls to check. That's why the call list and each person's code matter, and we set those up with you at the start.
Do I need an internet connection for monitoring?
Not if the system has a cellular path. A dual-path communicator can use both your network and cellular, so one can cover for the other.
Can you also do access control and cameras for my business?
Yes. We install access control, cameras, networking and background music too, so the security for your building can be planned on one visit.
